Capacitor Assortment Kit

This assortment combines ceramic disc capacitors, which handle small-value, high-frequency filtering and decoupling roles, with electrolytic capacitors, which cover the larger-value bulk filtering and power-smoothing roles — between the two types, most general circuit needs are covered without needing to special-order a specific value.

The ceramic capacitors are the small, non-polarized disc type that can be inserted either direction on a board, while the electrolytic capacitors are polarized and marked clearly with a stripe indicating the negative lead — a distinction worth knowing since installing an electrolytic backward can cause it to fail.

Values are organized in a labeled box by type and rating, with a printed reference chart covering the standard capacitor markings so unlabeled or oddly-marked ceramic caps can still be identified by their printed code.
